Traveling by plane

From the Pittsburgh International Airport, it’s about an hour by bus or 20-30 minutes by car or taxi. Unfortunately, the hotel does not provide a shuttle service.

Traveling by car

Just… give yourself some extra time if you’ve never driven in Pittsburgh before.

The Area: The Strip District

This is one of Pittsburgh’s best and most interesting neighborhoods, particularly on Saturday mornings. It’s where you go for the best food in Pittsburgh and for all your post-industrial photography needs.

Originally the center of Pittsburgh’s food import and restaurant industries, the Strip is now foodie central. It boasts the Heinz History Center, many food markets of various ethnicities, Penzey’s Spices, and Primanti Bros., home of the sandwich with the french fries pre-applied. Bring a camera and an appetite. It’s also easily the flattest place in Pittsburgh.
